A teenager wanted in connection with robbing an 87-year-old man could be in Leeds.

An elderly man was attacked in Aylesbury town centre at around 10pm on Tuesday, March 17.

He suffered a serious head injury in the attack and was taken to hospital.

He has since been discharged.

The victim's wallet was stolen, containing £10, bank cards and personal items.

Officers from Thames Valley Police want to speak to Adelin Olteanu, 18, in relation to the incident.

Olteanu is known to frequent Leeds and Bradford - as well as Manchester, Sheffield and London.

Police have warned that anyone who sees him should not approach him but call 999.

A 22-year-old man from Bradford and 24-year-old man from Corby have been arrested and charged in relation to the incident.

Designated investigator Hannah Mitchell of the Aylesbury Priority Crime Team, said: “Despite efforts to locate Olteanu, we have as yet been unable to do so.

“I am appealing to anybody who knows where he is to get in touch with police.

“You can do so by calling 101, quoting reference number 43200090463, or if you wish to remain 100% anonymous, call the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

“You can also make a report online.

“I would also urge the public if they see Olteanu, not to approach him, but to get in touch with police immediately on 999.”
