Spate of burglaries in North Yorkshire villages

NORTH Yorkshire Police  are urging the public to be vigilant following a series of house burglaries in the Knaresborough and Boroughbridge areas.

Police said three properties were burgled on Thursday October 29 - three in Farnham and one in Kirk Deighton

The incidents happened during the day when the occupants were all out at work. The offenders gained entry by forcing windows and doors open.

An ipad and a Sony Playstation were stolen from a property at Shaw Lane, Farnham. A watch, rucksack and camera were stolen from a property in Sterling Chase, Famham, and cash was stolen from a property in Ashdale View, Kirk Deighton.

Raiders also got in to a to a property in Farnham Fields, but escaped empty-handed after a burglar alarm sounded.

Anyone who has any information, or who witnessed anything suspicious in the area, is asked to call police on 101..
