Sex worker run over by client in Holbeck, Leeds in 'dispute over payment'

An appeal has been issued after a sex worker in Leeds was run over by her own client in a 'dispute over payment.'

Police were called to Ingram Road in Holbeck, Leeds in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Following a dispute over payment, the victim got out of the car, which was then deliberately driven at her, knocking her down and causing serious injuries.

The incident happened at about 3.50am at the junction of Ingram Road and Shafton Lane, and the woman was left with a broken leg.

The victim remains in hospital but her injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

Police are appealing for information and want to find the driver of the car - a white man aged between 35 to 40 with light brown to auburn hair.

A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police said: "At 3.50am on Saturday (14/7), officers were called to Ingram Road, in Holbeck, where a 35-year-old woman was found with injuries, including a broken leg.

"She had been being deliberately hit by a car at the junction of Ingram Road and Shafton Lane. She is continuing to receive treatment in hospital. Her injuries are not life threatening."

“Following a dispute over payment, the victim has got out of the car, which has then been deliberately driven at her, knocking her down and causing serious injuries.

“The car was said to be a small, silver vehicle and the suspect is described as a white male aged 35 to 40 with light brown to auburn hair.

“We are carrying out extensive enquiries, including checks on CCTV in the area, to identify the suspect and the vehicle and we would like to hear from anyone who witnessed anything in the area around the time of the incident.”
