British Transport Police (BTP) want to find a man who slapped a woman’s bottom as she bent over at Leeds railway station.

Officers have released a CCTV image of a man they want to speak to over the incident outside the ticket office on April 20.

PC Mark Stokes, investigating for BTP, said: “The victim, an 18-year old woman from Wetherby, was standing in a queue at the ticket office with her boyfriend. She bent over as was feeling unwell and as she did so a man walked up behind her and slapped her hard on the bottom.

“The woman was extremely shocked and genuinely hurt by this unprovoked and unacceptable assault.”

Anyone who recognises the man should call BTP on 0800 405040 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
