Robbers steal cigarettes and cash from Leeds petrol station

Police are hunting two robbers who stole cash and cigarettes from a petrol station after threatening staff.

The two males went into the store on Pontefract Road, Stourton, between 4.15am and 4.20am on Sunday, March 20. The incident was revealed by West Yorkshire Police today.

After taking the cigarettes and cash they made off across the forecourt and out of the area, police say.

One of the robbers is described as wearing dark clothing with a motif on the left breast of the jacket top. The second male is described as wearing grey clothing with distinctive tracksuit bottoms with a dark navy stripe. Both were wearing hooded tops.

DC Clare Fisher of Leeds CID at West Yorkshire Police said: “I would appeal to anyone who witnessed this incident or who saw two males in the area around the times stated to get in contact.”
