Police are looking for a racist who attacked a man at Leeds railway station – and also want to find his victim.

The attacker launched a tirade of abuse at an Asian man who was sitting on a step at platform 16 before kicking him in the back.

The incident, on March 23, was reported to British Transport Police (BTP) by a witness – but officers have been unable to trace the victim.

BTP have now issued a CCTV image of a suspect and have called on the Asian man to come forward.

PC Cara Andrew said: “This must have been a very unpleasant experience for him and I would like to appeal to him to come forward so we can offer him support.

“BTP take incidents such as this very seriously and we will do everything that we can to bring the perpetrator to justice and assist the victim.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact BTP on 0800 405040.
