Police were following driver involved in four-car crash in Leeds

Harehills Lane was closed this afternoon after four cars crashed at Cowper Mount, Leeds.

Police say they were following a Seat car when it was involved in a collision with a Volvo car and two other vehicles.

A woman in the Volvo is said to have suffered a non-life threatening injury to her lower body and was taken to hospital for treatment. A man in the same car was also taken to Leeds General Infirmary for a precautionary check-up.

"Harehills Lane was closed at the junction of Ashley Road while the vehicles involved were recovered and enquiries into the incident remain ongoing."
