Two further attempted burglaries were reported on Alandale Road and Lindsay Road on Wednesday night or Thursday early morning, where the suspects damaged the door locks but did not get in.

West Yorkshire Police Chief Insepctor Dan Wood, posting in a community alert, said that in one of these attempts three males were seen around 2am on Thursday.

He said: "I am organising some extra policing resources to the area to tackle the problem, but I would encourage people to report any suspicious behaviour, cars etc.

"Recently we arrested four males from Doncaster for burglaries in Colton so it is case of identifying where these latest Garforth burglary offenders are coming from - Leeds or elsewhere - and getting them caught or at least disrupted."
