Superintendent Chris Bowen, of Leeds District Police, said: “We have continued to impress upon fans the importance of the COVID-19 Government guidance and our approach remains one of engagement and encouragement.

“An appropriate police response was deployed last night (July 17) to ensure the safety of all those present with only five arrests made for public order and driving offences.

“As the evening progressed, officers worked with stewards to clear the area and this concluded in the early hours.

“Across the weekend, we would urge people to stay mindful of the Government restrictions and remember that the best way to celebrate is in your home.
