Police stopped and reported a driver in Leeds for collecting a car as a 'favour for a mate' during the coronavirus lockdown.

The van being driven by the driver near to the A1 in Wetherby had no tax or MOT, police said.

The driver did not have the correct driving licence to tow the trailer.

North Yorkshire Police Roads Policing Unit said the driver was reported for various offences after his vehicle broke down and blocked the road.
