Police stand-off at house in Leeds

POLICE were in a stand-off after a man refused to come down from a window ledge at a house in Leeds.

Officers attended a house on Roundhay Mount near Harehills just before 10am as part of arrest enquiries, when the 17-year-old man climbed onto the window ledge and refused to come down.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “Police officers attended an address in Roundhay Mount as part of arrest enquiries.

“A 17-year-old man has climbed onto a window sill and police are negotiating his safe removal.”

After negotiations, police left the scene at around 10.50am and fire crews remained at the house to ensure the man re-entered the property safely.
