Police set up camera on this Leeds street after speeding complaints

Police conducted speed checks on a street in east Leeds over the Bank Holiday weekend.

Residents had complained of speeding drivers on Manston Lane in Cross Gates.

The Leeds East Neighborhood Policing Team set up cameras on the street on Monday following the concerns and spoke to a number of drivers.

Several motorists were stopped and given advice and officers will issue follow-up warning letters to those caught breaking the speed limit.

PC Carter said: "The road is a 30mph limit so please be aware when travelling along it.

"Further checks are to be conducted over the coming days and weeks. Please be aware and keep people safe."
