Drivers were stopped and issued with fixed penalty tickets this morning.

One silver Vauxhall was towed by police and the driver reported for not having insurance.

Officers from the Leeds West team said: "This morning officers from the Leeds West Team have conducted a roads policing initiative targeting the illegal misuse of one way roads in the Armley area.

Police have seized cars and issued tickets to to drivers who drove the wrong way down one-way roads in Armley. "Officers have done this due to a large number of complaints from local residents.

"A number of vehicles have been stopped and a number of fixed penalty tickets issued to drivers.

"One vehicle was also seized and the driver reported for summons for driving offences including using a motor vehicle without insurance."
