Police scene in Chapeltown after man seriously injured in attack

There is an ongoing police scene in Chapeltown after a man was attacked.

Police were called to Roundhay Avenue at 5am on Sunday, August 9 to reports of an assault.

A man was found with serious injuries.

He has been taken to Leeds General Infirmary.

Police were called to the scene on Roundhay Avenue at 5am on Sunday, August 9 to reports of an assault.

Several cordons remain in place around the area while officers examine the scene.

The investigation is ongoing.

Anyone with information should contact police via 101.
