Police release CCTV after girl of 8 '˜sexually assaulted' in Leeds Greggs
Detectives investigating a sexual assault on an eight-year-old girl in a Leeds bakers shop have released CCTV images of potential witnesses they want to trace.
A 34-year-old man, from Bradford, was arrested in connection with the incident which happened in the seating area of Greggs, in The Headrow, in Leeds, on Friday, February 12. He is currently on police bail pending further enquiries.
The man was arrested last week after an appeal to find him went viral online.
Detective Inspector Dave Cowley, of Leeds District Safeguarding Unit, said: “We are continuing to investigate the full circumstances of this incident and urgently need to speak to the people who are shown on these CCTV images as being in Greggs at the time the incident occurred.
“We believe these people may have information that could assist the investigation and we would like to speak to them as potential witnesses at the earliest opportunity.”
Officers want to speak to a man in a dark coat with dark hair who appeared to be with a woman with short grey hair and glasses, and a lone woman with blonde hair who was wearing a large white scarf.
