Police praised the quick thinking lorry driver

In the early hours of this morning, police were dragging a black Jaguar across the motorway.

It could have been a very perilous exercise, but this lorry driver stepped in to help protect the police.

Having seen what was going on, the driver stopped his lorry in the lane next to the car, providing protection for officers to pull the vehicle across the motorway and into the hard shoulder.

It would appear that the car had had some sort of breakdown on the live lanes of the M606 in Bradford.
