Police launch urgent appeal after 14-year-old fails to return from school

Police have launched an urgent appeal to trace a missing girl who failed to return from school in Keighley.

Kekshan Rashid, 14, was last seen yesterday afternoon (Wednesday September 16) at Holly Family School in Keighley at 1.50pm.

She failed to return home, police confirmed.

Police said her behaviour is completely out of character.

Officers are appealing for anyone who sees her to contact police immediately.

She is described as 5ft4” tall, with brown eyes and when last seen was wearing navy trousers, and a navy PE shirt (the PE uniform of the school).

Her medium length hair is in pigtail plaits.

Detective Chief Inspector Andy Farrell of Bradford District Police, said: “Kekshan has not been seen since yesterday and we are urgently doing all we can to find her safe and well. I need the public to help by being on the look out for her and reporting any potential sightings immediately. Please also help by sharing our appeal on social media – it could help to make all the difference.

“We don’t know where she is and we are very concerned for her welfare."

Anyone with information should call police on 999 quoting log 1735 of September 16.
