Police launch appeal after domestic related sexual attack on woman in Leeds

Police have launched an appeal for information after a domestic-related sexual attack on a woman next to a main road in Leeds.

The attack took place between 10pm and 10.30pm on Friday night (Sept 25) on a grass verge at the junction of the A64 York Road and Baildon Drive next to The Old Red Lion pub, police said.

The victim - aged in her twenties - contacted officers on Sunday (Sept 27) to report the incident.

Checks on CCTV show a number of people passing the area at the time and officers are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed any part of the incident.

A 30-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and is currently in custody, police confirmed,
