Police hunt after attempted sex attack in Leeds city centre

Police have released a picture of a man they want to trace following an attempted sex attack on a 21-year-old woman in Leeds city centre.

Officers are keen to talk to 35-year-old Gambian national Lamin Touray in connection with the incident, which took place at around 5am on Sunday, December 8, at Pine Court off The Calls.

The woman was attacked near Harcourt House but fought back and the attacker left the scene, heading along Call Lane towards Crown Point Road.

Touray is described as black, 5ft 7ins tall and of slim build. He may be using different a name.

Detective Superintendent Scott Wood, from West Yorkshire Police Protective Services Crime, said: “We urgently need to trace Touray and speak to him about this incident at the earliest opportunity.

“I would urge anyone who knows his whereabouts or who has any information that could assist in tracing him to contact us immediately.”
