"We have taken a significant amount of potentially deadly weapons out of circulation in the Burmantofts and Richmond Hill Ward area.

"These are weapons that can now never be used to harm people and our message remains that the carrying of any type of weapon is absolutely not acceptable and will not be tolerated by the police or by the communities we serve.

“If you have information about the possession or use of weapons please do not keep this information to yourself and please contact the police. West Yorkshire Police can be contacted directly through 101, in an emergency dial 999 or calls can be made direct to Crimestoppers anonymously by calling 0800 555 111".
