Police catch speeding drivers after setting up cameras on this east Leeds road

A number of speeding drivers have been issued tickets in east Leeds today.

Officers from the Leeds East Neighborhood Policing Team set up cameras on Watergate near Methley Junction.

They also covered areas of Garforth, Kippax and Swillington.

The team had some special help from a young bystander, Hugo from Methley, who enjoyed a photo opportunity in the police van.

The Leeds East Neighborhood Policing Team posted: "We had some special help from one of our little helpers, he’s called Hugo from Methley. He did a great job.

"He also likes police vehicles (social distancing and vehicle was sanitized before entry).

"We have caught a few speeders this morning and they will be getting dealt with appropriately."
