Police catch 20 vehicles speeding in just 30 minutes on Leeds road

20 vehicles have been noted to be speeding in just a 30 minute time frame on a road in Leeds.

The West Yorkshire Police Leeds East team caught the vehicles on December 9 on Stoney Rock Lane in Harehills, Leeds.

The highest speed noted was 35mph in the 20mph zone.

Police will be sending warning letters to those caught speeding during this time.

A post on the West Yorkshire Police - Leeds East Facebook page said: "On the 09/12/20 PCSO’s Johnson and Moseley conducted speed checks on Stoney Rock Lane, Leeds.

"A total of 20 vehicles were noted speeding in a 30 minute time frame with the highest speed noted at 35mph in a 20mph zone. Warning letters will be issued to those caught speeding on this occasion.

"East Leeds Neighbourhood Policing Teams are committed to making our roads safer, further speed checks and operations will continue across the local communities we serve.
