Police called to reports of ram raid at two Kirkstall Road shops

Police have launched an investigation after they were called to reports of a ram raid on two shops in Leeds in the early hours of this morning.

The burglaries took place on Kirkstall Road between midnight and 1am this morning (Dec 21), police told the Yorkshire Evening Post.

A vehicle was used in both incidents, police believe.

An investigation has now been launched.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: "Police are investigating two burglaries which are reported to have happened between 12 and 1am Monday on Kirkstall Road, Leeds.

"Enquiries are continuing and anyone with any information is asked to contact Leeds CID on 101, quoting crime reference number 13200635932 or 13200635944.

"Information can also be passed to Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
