A man has been taken to hospital after police were called to reports of a stabbing in Leeds.

Police were called shortly after 3pm on Tuesday to Whincup Gardens, Hunslet to reports of a stabbing.

A 22 year old man has been taken to hospital, police said.

A scene remains in place whilst investigations take place.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said: "Police were called at 15.16 to Whincup Gardens, Hunslet to reports of a stabbing.

"A 22 year old man has been taken to hospital.

"A scene remains in place whilst investigations take place.
