Police appeal after young boy’s phone snatched in north Leeds

Police have released an e-fit image of a young man who robbed a 12-year-old boy of his mobile phone in Leeds.

The boy was walking through woods between Iveson Drive and Clayton Wood Close in Adel when he was approached from behind by the suspect, who grabbed the mobile phone from his hand.

The incident happened at around 6.40pm on Tuesday, July 8.

The robber was described as white, aged about 16, around 5ft 8ins, with short, curly, light blond hair.

He was wearing a dark grey, thigh-length waterproof coat and dark grey or black tracksuit bottoms.

The phone was a white iPhone 4S, which had a small crack to the back right-hand side.
