New development in police search to find missing Leeds teen Rawan Hussain

Police have provided a new update on their investigation to find a missing Leeds teenager.

Detectives searching for missing Leeds teenager Rawan Hussain have now confirmed she arrived in Oxford by train.

CCTV enquiries show she left Oxford train station at 2.58pm on Sunday (April 26), police confirmed today.

Officers are continuing to appeal for anyone who has seen her in the area since then to contact them immediately.

Searches have been taking place for Rawan Hussain, 16, since police were alerted to her disappearance at 1pm on Sunday.

She had been seen last at her family home in Chapel Allerton at around 5am that day.

Initial enquiries led to an extensive search of nearby Gledhow Valley Woods but this was stood down on Monday after her train journey was discovered.

It is now known that Rawan caught a train from Leeds City Station at around 9am on Sunday.

The service she boarded was bound for Oxford via Birminghan, police confirmed.
