New appeal for witnesses in attempted murder investigation after stabbing in Vicar Lane Leeds

Police have made a renewed appeal for witnesses after a 17-year-old boy was stabbed in Vicar Lane.

Officers this morning (Monday) rearrested a 15-year-old who was one of eight boys, aged 15 to 18, who were arrested over the incident, which happened at about 6pm on Friday.

The other seven have been released under investigation.

The victim is continuing to receive treatment in hospital for injuries that are serious but not life threatening.

Detective Inspector Guy Shackleton, of Leeds District CID, said: “We are continuing to progress the investigation but are still very keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or who has any information that could assist in identifying further suspects.”
