Murder trial of two men due to begin at Leeds Crown Court over man stabbed to death outside a supermarket in Beeston

A murder trial over the death of a man who was stabbed outside a Beeston supermarket is due to begin today.

Kearon Barker, 31, and Omar Ishaq, 34, are charged with murder in relation to the death of 40-year-old Keith Harrower.

Mr Harrower, also known as Joshua French, died in hospital after he was stabbed outside Premier supermarket on Dewsbury Road shortly before 5.30pm on Thursday, December 12, 2019.

Barker is also charged with possession of an offensive weapon.

Barker, of Cardinal Crescent, Beeston, and Ishaq, Low Lane, Horsforth, deny all charges.

A jury was sworn to try the case at Leeds Crown Court yesterday (January 18)

The case is expected to be opened by the prosecution at 10,30am today.
