Motorcyclist, 56, killed in crash with car on Leeds Ring Road

A 56-year-old man has died in a motorbike crash in Moortown.

Emergency services were called to Leeds Ring Road near the junction with Shadwell Lane at about 7.10am this morning.

A grey Skoda Fabia car had crashed with an orange KTM 690 Motorbike.

The motorbike rider, a 56-year-old man, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Skoda Fabia remained at the scene and is helping police with their enquiries.

A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police said: "The Major Collision Enquiry Team (MCET) would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision itself or the movements of either vehicle in the time leading up to it, and anyone who was in the area and may have any relevant dashcam footage."
