Motorbike caught speeding at more than 100mph on this 50mph Leeds road

A motorbike rider faces court after allegedly speeding at more than 100mph on a street in east Leeds.

West Yorkshire Police's Roads Policing Unit had set up cameras on Selby Road, Garforth, at 8.30pm on Tuesday.

Officers said they clocked the 'powerful' motorcycle speeding at 112mph - in the 50mph limit.

Drivers 'taking advantage' of quieter roads during lockdown have been warned of the dangers of speeding.

Police revealed the fastest speeds they recorded from drivers who were caught during the first three weeks of lockdown - and the highest was caught in Yorkshire.
