McDonald's Bramley staff member assaulted as woman flees scene before police arrive

A staff member at the McDonald's in Bramley was assaulted as a woman left the scene before police arrived.

Police received a report of the incident at the Butt Lane McDonald's franchise at 3.40pm on Sunday.

A male staff member had allegedly been assaulted by a woman.

The woman had left the scene when officers arrived but enquiries are ongoing to trace her.

The incident is being treated as assault occasioning actual bodily harm by police.

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "At 3.40pm yesterday, police received a report of an incident at McDonald’s, in Butt Lane, Bramley, where a male member of staff had been assaulted by a woman.

"Officers attended but the woman had left the scene.

"Enquiries are ongoing to trace her.

"The incident is being treated as assault occasioning actual bodily harm."
