Masked raiders stole cash after hammer threat at Leeds shop

Masked men threatened a shop worker with a hammer before stealing cash.

The pair took money from the till after threatening the woman at Costcutter, in Lingfield Drive, Moortown. They then ran off towards Lingfield Garth.

The robbers were white, in their early twenties and wearing dark clothing. The incident happened at about 8.25pm on Tuesday, May 5.

Det Con Darren Young, of Leeds CID, said: “The victim was left very badly shaken by what was a really frightening experience for her.”
