Man taken to hospital after being slashed in the face during assault in Leeds

A man has been taken to hospital after he was attacked and slashed in the face in Leeds.

West Yorkshire Police were called to reports of a fight on Compton Road, Harehills, at 9.10pm on Tuesday.

They found a 25-year-old man who had been assaulted and had a slash wound to his cheek.

He was taken to hospital for treatment to the injury that is not considered life threatening.

The area was taped off by police until midnight as officers investigated the assault.
