Man seriously injured after being 'stabbed in the back' during fight in Harehills

It happened near the junction of Seaforth Avenue and Strathmore Terrace at about 2.45pm today (Wednesday).

Police were called to reports that a man had been seriously injured during a fight between a group of men.

Emergency services found a man who had suffered what are believed to be stab injuries to his back.

He was taken to hospital where he is being treated and remains in a serious condition.

A police investigation has been launched this evening and detectives want to speak to anyone who may have seen what happened.
