Man rushed to hospital after stabbing in south Leeds

A road closure is in place after a man was stabbed in south Leeds.

Police were called to an address in Dewsbury Road after reports that a man had been stabbed at around 5.30pm.

A police cordon is in place near the junction with Burton Avenue, close to the Premier store.

The man has been taken to hospital, but his condition is not yet known.

First West Yorkshire said part of the road was closed, with buses diverting.

A police spokesman said: "Enquiries into the incident remain ongoing and any witnesses are asked to call police on 101 quoting log 1299 of today."
