Man found with facial injuries in Leeds street

Police have launched an investigation after a man was found with facial injuries in a street in Leeds.

The 65-year-old had suffered a fractured cheekbone when he was discovered in Bayswater Road, Harehills, at the junction with Gledhow Road, at about 9.30am on Monday.

He was taken to Leeds General Infirmary for treatment.

Detective Inspector Mark Strother, of Leeds CID, said: “We are conducting enquiries to establish the circumstances and we would like to hear from anyone who has any information that could assist the investigation.”
