Man charged with murder after stabbing outside Beeston supermarket

A man has been charged with murder after a man was stabbed outside a supermarket in Beeston, Leeds.

Kearon Barker, aged 30, of Cardinal Crescent in Beeston, appeared at Leeds Magistrates Court this morning charged over the death of Keith Harrower.

Barker has also been charged with possession of an offensive weapon.

Mr Harrower,, also known as Joshua French, aged 40, was stabbed during an incident outside the Premier supermarket in Dewsbury Road shortly before 5.30pm on Thursday, December 12.

He was later pronounced dead in hospital.

Barker was remanded in custody after appearing in court.

He will appear at Leeds Crown Court tomorrow.

A 33-year-old man, who was arrested in Leeds on Sunday on suspicion of murder, remains in custody.
