Man charged after 27-year-old victim stabbed in Leeds

A man has been charged after a 27-year-old victim was stabbed in Leeds at the weekend.

Banokuthula Khanye, 24, is due to appear in court today.

Khanye, of Burmantofts Street, Leeds, has been charged with Section 18 wounding with intent and possession of knife in relation to the incident in Rigton Approach, Burmantofts, on Saturday night.

He is due to appear at Leeds Magistrates Court today, police said.

The victim, a 27-year-old man, is continuing to receive treatment in hospital for injuries that are serious but not life threatening.
