Man arrested after body discovered in bushes near M621 in Leeds

A member of the public discovered the body near the footbridge over the motorway at Burton Row in Hunslet.

They called the police who confirmed the man was dead.

Police cordoned off a large area as officers conducted forensic examination and searches.

A 29-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the death and is in police custody.

A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police said the death is currently being treated as unexplained and an investigation is ongoing.
