The fire happened on Harlech Terrace on Monday, April 7.

Firefighters were called to reports of a house fire at 12.37pm.

Two engines from Hunslet and one from Leeds attended the mid-terrace property, near Cross Flatts Park.

A spokeswoman for West Yorkshire Fire confirmed that no occupants needed rescuing from the house.

There were no reported injuries.

An eyewitness, who lives on Harlech Terrace, said the fire appeared to be located on the top floor attic conversion.

Jan Baxter, 58, said: "I could see smoke billowing from an attic conversion from my garden. We think it is an unoccupied house."

A 28-year-old woman and a 36-year-old man have been arrested on suspicion of arson.

Enquiries remain ongoing.
