Leeds man killed after being hit by a car in Woodhouse is named

Garry Philip Glover, 66, from Woodhouse, was hit by the black Toyota Yaris in the early hours of Saturday December 8.

The accident happened at the junction of Melville Road and Woodhouse Street at 12.40am.

The driver, a 28-year-old man, remains under investigation on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. He was initially arrested for failing to provide a specimen of breath at the roadside but gave a negative result when tested at a police station.
