Leeds couple wanted over theft offences in three counties arrested in Seacroft

A couple from Leeds wanted for shop theft offences across three counties have been arrested in Seacroft.

Police have thanked the public for their help after they posted an appeal to find Karen House, 42, and Gavin Whitaker, 30, last week.

The couple were arrested on Monday night in Seacroft after a tip-off from the public.

House and Whitaker have been taken to custody in North Yorkshire to be dealt with for offences which cover three counties and three police force areas.

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "We would like to thank everyone who assisted in sharing the appeal."
