GAMERS can release their inner geek and enjoy a blast from the past at a retro event in Leeds.

The iPlayGaming festival arrives in the city tomorrow, with six hours of food, drink and games.

Festivalgoers can play on a range of consoles and try out some of the best retro games from the past 30 years, including Goldeneye, Grand Turismo, Mortal Kombat, Need for Speed, Pro Evolution Soccer, Super Smash Bros, Tekken, Timesplitters and more.

New games such as Call of Duty Black Ops 3, FIFA 16, Forza 6 and Halo 5 will also be available to play.

To top it all off, there will be designated ‘gaming areas’ – where you will be given the chance to battle it out in solo or team games and tournaments in Mario Kart 64, Call of Duty Black Ops 2, FIFA and Street Fighter 4.

The competition winners will be crowned the iPlayGaming Leeds Champion 2015 live on stage.

The festival will be held at The Warehouse on Somers Street in Leeds city centre and starts at 7pm on Saturday, November 7.

Food will be provided by Sheffield-based burger offering Cow Boys.

Tickets cost £15, which includes entry into the Mario Kart 64 competition and one other tournament of your choice.

To buy tickets, or to find out more, visit www.iplaygaming.co.uk or search for iPlayGaming on Facebook.

You might have to be quick, though, as tickets for the previous event in Manchester sold out.

Good luck, gamers!
