Police are looking for theft victims in Leeds after recovering a £50,000 haul of suspected stolen goods.

Everything from golf shoes and a mountain bike to a pressure washer and ladders were seized from a property in the Low Moor area of Bradford this month.

One man who was arrested has since been released on bail pending further enquiries.

Some of the items have already been returned to their rightful owners in Bradford, but officers are now widening the search to Leeds and North Yorkshire areas in a bid to find out who the other goods belong to.

PC Lisa Common, of the Tong and Wyke Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “We believe that some of these items may have been taken in burglaries committed out of the area, possibly even outside of West Yorkshire.

“I would ask anyone who has been the victim of a burglary in the last 12 months in the Leeds or North Yorkshire area, to contact us with as much information they have about items they have had stolen, as well as any crime numbers they have been given.”

Anyone with information should call police on 101.
