A KNIIFEPOINT robber threatened staff at a pharmacy in Leeds before escaping with cash.
Police have issued CCTV images of the man who was armed with a knife when he struck at the Andrew Tylee Pharmacy in Hyde Park Road just after 9.30am yesterday. (Tues July 12)
The man, who had his face covered, demanded cash and took a small amount of money from the till.
He then tried to take a member of staff’s handbag, but she held onto it and the man ran from the shop.
Detective Constable Rob Willis, of Leeds District CID, said: “The staff involved in this incident were understandably traumatised by being threatened at knifepoint by this male and we urgently need to identify him.
“Although he had his face covered, the CCTV images show the clothing he was wearing and his general appearance and we hope someone will recognise him.
“We would also like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or saw the man running off.”
He was wearing a dark-coloured hooded top with a zip, which possibly had an All Saints logo on the chest.
His face was covered with what appeared to be a striped scarf.
The knife he used was a small black-handled kitchen knife.
