Gang try to steal motorbike as owner as inside Tesco Express

Police are investigating after a group tried to steal a motorbike while the owner was inside a Tesco Express store in Leeds.

At about 1pm, the victim parked his motorbike in the car park outside the shop on Selby Road in Halton.

While he was inside, three suspects attempted to steal the bike.

They threatened a member of the public who watched the incident unfold.

However, when the member of the public intervened the suspects fled empty handed.

Police are asking anyone with information on the incident or anyone who witnessed any suspicious behaviour in the area is asked to contact police on the online 101 chat service or by calling 101, quoting crime reference 13200374512.
