IF you’re getting tired of all the Christmas shopping, a Leeds shopping centre has come up with the perfect solution.
When you’ve had enough, hop on a special rickshaw and it will transport you to the new Alpine Lodge at The Light.
The festive retreat has a chill-out bar and live music and launched today.
The Alpine Lodge will be at the shopping centre’s courtyard for two weeks.
Warming winter drinks will be served from 11am, with stronger tipples served in the evening.
A full bar will be open from 4pm and is being run by Tiger Tiger from November 27 to December 4, followed by Fire Lake cocktail bar from December 5 to 11.
Visitors will also be able to get into the Christmas spirit with a host of festive entertainment, from brass bands, orchestras and choirs to operatic performances.
Stephanie James, marketing manager at The Light, said: “We can’t wait to welcome our first customers to the Alpine Lodge – as soon as they step into the festive bar they’ll be transported from Leeds to Les Arcs!
“Black Friday might be a great time to take advantage of discounts but the big crowds and long queues can take it out of you.
“Send us a tweet and you could be relaxing with a glass of bubbly before you know it.”
The rickshaw service runs from 1pm to 5pm on November 27 and 28.
Shoppers in Leeds city centre need to tweet #ChristmasRescueSquad and tag @TheLightLeeds for the chance to be picked up.
