The 40-year-old was last known to be in the Brighton area but has connections with Norfolk and Worcester as well as Leeds.

He is white, about 5ft 7ins tall, and of average build. He has short brown hair, a goatee beard, and blue eyes.

Det Supt Pat Twiggs, head of crime for Leeds, said: “West Yorkshire Police and Norfolk Constabulary are continuing to conduct extensive enquiries to trace Adam Day. We believe he is living a transient lifestyle, sleeping in tents and busking for money or working in cash in hand jobs.

“Our previous appeals to trace his whereabouts have brought in some useful information but we are still keen to hear from anyone who can help us to locate him. “
