Four remain in custody in Leeds murder inquiry

Four people remain in custody as part of the investigation into the murder of Clifford Amoh in Leeds.

A 24-year-old woman arrested on Tuesday, another woman aged 27 and a 22-year-old man, who were both arrested on Saturday, have been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

A 15-year-old male, two men aged 19, and a 29-year-old man remain in custody, West Yorkshire Police said today (Thursday).

All were initially arrested on suspicion of murder.

Mr Amoh, 29, was attacked at his home in Coldcotes Crescent, Gipton, in the early hours of Saturday.

A post-mortem examination revealed his death had been caused by a head injury.

Det Chief Insp Nicola Bryar, from West Yorkshire Police’s homicide and major enquiry team, said today: “We are continuing to progress our enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the murder of Clifford Amoh and we would still like to hear from anyone who witnessed any part of the incident or who has any information that could assist the investigation.”

Mr Amoh, who was nicknamed Papi, has been described as a “well-liked and popular” man. His family have been left devastated by his death.
