Four emergency crews called to scaffolding fire at high rise flats in Leeds

Four crews were called to a scaffolding fire that surrounded a high rise set of flats in Leeds.

Crews from Hunslet and Leeds including the aerial appliance attended the property on Meynell Approach in Holbeck on Friday night (April 17).

Upon arrival they discovered a fire on the scaffolding that surrounding the building.

Smoke had entered the property from an open window.

No residents were involved in the incident, the fire service confirmed.

One hose reel and a high pressure fan were used to control the blaze.
